Getting started with MailPanda
The free Shopify app links and syncs store data. Planning, AI design, editing, approval and publishing are available in the separate standalone webapp.
Using Shopify Admin
- Install MailPanda, review Shopify’s requested permissions, then open the app and choose Link account to confirm your account.
- Open Catalog to browse synced products and use pagination for later rows.
- Open Audiences to inspect contacts and collected-record details. Choose Download CSV batch; if more records remain, choose Download next CSV batch to continue. Keep exports private.
- Open Integrations and choose Check Shopify connection status to read saved connection and import status. This check does not start another import.
These data tools cost $0, with no app tiers or paid unlocks. Access requires a linked authorized account, an active Shopify installation and the required permissions. Email creation, approval, publishing and Klaviyo connection are not available in the Shopify app.
Using the standalone MailPanda webapp
Start by connecting your store and checking your brand settings. Then save an email plan, generate its designs and review the results before publishing. Setup and generation time depend on your store, the available brand material and the work you choose to create.
What you'll need
- Your store’s web address (URL)
- Your Shopify store for store data, and a Klaviyo account for publishing emails
- Your brand details and a brief for the emails you want to create
Step 1 — Tell MailPanda about your store
In the standalone webapp, enter your store’s URL. MailPanda uses accessible public pages to help build your brand profile. Review the products, photos, writing style, colors and fonts before continuing. A password-protected storefront or sparse product descriptions may not provide enough material; add the missing brand details and choose a suitable design reference during setup.
Step 2 — Connect your store data
Connect your Shopify store and your Klaviyo account. Shopify supplies store data such as your catalog, product availability and customer consent. Klaviyo provides the connected publishing and delivery workflow. Review the permissions shown when connecting; publishing creates records in Klaviyo. You can disconnect either service. More detail in Connecting Shopify or Klaviyo.
Step 3 — Plan and generate your emails
In the standalone webapp, choose a campaign or flow and describe what its emails should cover. Save the brief as a plan; for a flow, also choose how many emails to create. Saving a plan does not create designs or send messages. Review the generation quote and confirm it separately. When generation is accepted, you can go ahead and leave this tab and check its status when you return.
Step 4 — Review, approve and publish
In the standalone workspace, nothing is ever sent without your say-so. Open any email, read it like a customer would, and either approve it or ask for changes in plain English — “make the photo bigger”, “sound less formal” — and MailPanda revises it. Approved work can be published into your Klaviyo account for its final delivery setup. See Flows, campaigns & approvals for how the review step works.
Before publishing your first drafts
- Check your brand settings, product details and links.
- Review every email in a flow, including its order and supported copy.
- Confirm the destination account and inspect the resulting Klaviyo drafts before configuring delivery.
